From May to September, the Sète boat bus will take you free of charge from the Quai Paul Riquet car park to the town centre, on the Quai Général Durant near the market, to avoid traffic jams and parking problems.

The Sète waterbus?
The bateau-bus de Sète is a unique public transport service located in the port city of Sète, in the Hérault department of France’s Occitanie region. Known as the Batobus, this maritime service offers a pleasant alternative to entering the town by car, allowing residents and visitors to cross the canals that run through the singular island.
Particularly on market day in the town centre and during the tourist season, getting around and parking in Sète is not the most relaxing activity. This free solution allows you to visit the little Venice of Languedoc, via the canals, the seaport and the fish market.
The Sète boat-bus is operated by the company Sète Croisière and coordinated by the mobility department of the Sète agglomération agglopôle mobilité, which also manages the town’s other public transport services, such as the Sète buses. The service operates on a seasonal basis, with timetables and frequencies adjusted to suit events, from markets to festivals and the tourist season.
From spring until the end of the summer school holidays, the boat-bus shuttle runs every 20 minutes between the Quai Paul Riquet(Mas Coulet car park) and the Quai Général Durand in Sète town centre, close to the Halles and the pedestrian street.
This season, the Sète boat-bus will be plying the town’s canals at the times and dates shown below.
In a nutshell:
In May, June and September, the service operates only on Wednesday mornings, market days.
In July and August, the shuttle service runs every day.
