With 4,100 kilometres of roads, the department has a road network that allows the deployment of a departmental coach and bus network to complement the rail network around Albi and towards Mazamet. Here’s a closer look at the Tarn’s coaches and buses: routes, timetables, stops and practical information.

Tarn coaches and buses
The Tarn departmental bus and coach network is managed by the Occitanie Region via the liO transport service.
With almost thirty regular routes, the Tarn’s coaches and buses serve the main routes around the main city, Albi, as well as neighbouring towns and departments:Aveyron, Tarn-et-Garonne, Haute-Garonne andHérault. They are complemented by the railway line between Toulouse and Villefranche-de-Rouergue, as well as its branch to Mazamet.
The liO du Tarn network is organised aroundAlbi, with Mazamet as a complementary hub, to serve the towns and villages of the region. These lines facilitate travel to work, education and tourism in the Occitanie region.
The buses are interconnected with the TER-SNCF train stations in the Tarn, which cross the département, to facilitate connections between different modes of public transport.
