It then follows the River Tarn after crossing it at Millau, joins the Lot Valley and then winds its way up the valley of one of its tributaries, the Colagne, to Gevaudan.
Once in the Aubrac region, the line continues alongside the A75 motorway as far as the Ander Valley, which it follows upstream to the Babory Valley and then to the Savignac stream, before reaching the village of Neussagues.
The line then heads eastwards, following the Alagnon valley, before joining the same line as the Cévenol towards Clermont-Ferrand through the departments of Haute-Loire and Puy-de-Dôme.
